Organic Ice Tea

Spring has sprung! Which means it’s time to shape up for the perfect bikini bod. Also this is the time I like to start hosting spring parties because, well, it’s spring! So I thought why not share my own organic ice tea recipe with you for those warm spring days or for one of your happy spring parties.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • x2 large oranges (or whatever fruit or mix of fruit you want to flavour your tea with)
  • Raw Honey
  • Tea (I used Earl Grey Tea but if you want to go totally organic and healthy Rooibos or Green Tea is best)
  • Vanilla Essence/Sticks (I only had vanilla essence at home but again if you are looking for the organic version use vanilla sticks)

HOW TO

First, add 3 - 4 tea bags to a 1.5 liter jug, add about 4cm of boiling water and let the tea draw for now.

In the meantime cut up orange into 2cm slices. After slicing the orange return to your hot tea and add 2-3 teaspoons of your raw honey and one teaspoon of vanilla essence (or 3 vanilla sticks). After slicing the orange return to your hot tea and add 2-3 teaspoons of your raw honey and one teaspoon of vanilla essence (or 3 vanilla sticks).

Give a good stir and let sit until cool.

Once tea has cooled add your orange slices and put into the fridge for 2 hours to chill.

Once out the fridge add ice, garnish with half an orange slice and enjoy.

This isn’t a weight loss tea or diet drink but it is a healthier alternative to other sweetened drinks. I hope you have enjoyed this post and I would love to know what you thought of it if you tried it or if you have ice tea recipes you love and want to share.

See you soon X
